Today’s visitor, @ingriddnilsen von der Lippe violin made for her in 2014. So nice to see and hear it again 😀🎻
Todays visitor, a von der Lippe violin from 2004. The owner @kajjings lives in the beautiful town of Trondheim and is freelancing in the major Norwegian orchestras. In for some TLC 🎻😉
@jacobvdlippe has been building instruments for musicians at home and abroad since 1998 and is one of Norway's most prominent and acknowledged violinmakers. Jacob's instruments are coming out of the tradition of the Italian masters. On a regular basis he lectures on violin making and maintenance of instruments at several Norwegian schools of music and at music festivals. -www.vonderlippe.com. . . . #violinmaker #craftsmanship #handcrafted #violin #violinist #music #art #artist #atelier #ateliercollectif #jacobvonderlippe #playvonderlippe #norway #workshop #diy #instrumental #instrument #handmade #creative #passion #inspiration #motivation #opera #orchestra #musician #artsy
@tellefsenarve came by to check out the progress of the twin I’m currently making for him (of his “Tellefsen” Guarneri del Gesú, Cremona 1742) He looks pleased so far!
#stradivari #cremona #violinmaker #dolcevitano #italiaguiden #fiolinbygger #playvonderlippe
Tonight’s edition of “Stjernekamp” challenged the singers to perform opera, and most of them were not familiar with that style of music. A rather entertaining evening! Backed by the fabulous Norwegian Radio Orchestra (starring three violins made by yours truly). Matias looks like he’s enjoying himself 😀🎻🙏 Photo credit: @nrk @nrkkork

No rules without an exception. For the last seven years, I ve been focusing on my own personal models. But when Norwegian violin legend Arve Tellefsen asked me this summer, to once again make a copy of his “Tellefsen” del Gesú from 1742, it was hard to say no. I made a copy of this particular violin for him 16 years ago, but this time he said: “Make it look like a del Gesú, but sound like a von der Lippe”.
Such a nice program tonight by cellist Anne Stine Dahl and Anders Eidsten Dahl (organ and piano). Works by Karlsen, Bloch, Mozart and Chopin. The icing on the cake: Anne Stine performs on a cello that I made for her last year. Thanks for the music! #playvonderlippe #personalmodel #cello #organ #piano #music #kulturrådet

Look closely to spot them😂 From Norway to Florida! Many thanks, @jacobvdlippe #playvonderlippe and thanks to my personal cellist for always being cheerful and willing to do crazy things for me. #cellist #luthier #thisgoodday #floridalife

The famous Norwegian violinist Ole Bull climbed to the top of the Pyramid of Cheops in 1876, and played “The Herdgirl's Sunday”. A few days ago, Arve Tellefsen climbed to the top of Norway’s highest mountain Galdhøpiggen (2469 m) and played the same piece! The violin he carried to the summit, was made for him by yours truly sixteen years ago, a copy of his Guarneri del Gesú from 1742. Such an honour!
